I really think some holders $ZEC are almost driving themselves crazy.

When the price rises, they’re afraid of missing out on the rally; when it falls, they’re afraid it’ll go to zero; and when it moves sideways, they think it’s a waste of time. They watch the price every day and start speculating at the slightest move about whether institutional investors are coming in.

Honestly, I’ve felt that way too.

But then I realized that with volatile coins like ZEC, the biggest danger is frequent trading that’s hard to keep under control.

Especially with futures. The price shoots up, you’re afraid of missing out, so you rush to buy; then the price pulls back and your stop-loss gets triggered. Then you think the trend has changed and open a short position, but soon the price rises again.

After going back and forth a couple of times, you may not have been too far off about the direction, but fees and stop-losses have eaten up a lot of money.

Now I prefer to think through two questions in advance: How much am I willing to lose if the price falls? And where will I trim my position if the price rises?

If these two questions aren’t clear, even the best market can easily turn into chaos.

I’ll continue exploring the Zcash privacy ecosystem, but I won’t treat every price fluctuation as a trading opportunity just because I believe in the project.

If there are no clear signals today, I’d rather do nothing.

Sometimes it’s better to miss a trade than to get the direction wrong, and it’s much less stressful.
