Looking at all the hype around AI agents, you realize that ordinary Telegram snipers and traditional trading bots are already taking a back seat.
Remember how last year everyone was pinning their hopes on trading bots? You press a button, the bot buys a token at listing—and you wait for profits. But at its core, it’s just a limited script. Liquidity changes, an RPC node goes down, or the developers change the slippage—and the bot simply drains your deposit because it follows a rigid algorithm without taking the real situation into account.
The market is now shifting toward Agentic AI (autonomous AI agents). Projects like Virtuals Protocol and tokens such as $FET demonstrate this clearly.
There’s a fundamental difference here.
A regular bot only responds to commands like “if A, then B.” An agent looks at the market as a whole: it analyzes sentiment on X (Twitter), monitors whale wallet activity in real time, assesses risks, and can independently change its strategy or cancel a transaction if it spots a trap.
It’s not just an automation tool, but an analyst that works 24/7 and isn’t swayed by emotions.
I’m testing several systems like these, and the difference is really noticeable. But the risks are different too: giving an autonomous agent access to a smart contract and letting it sign transactions on its own requires a high level of trust in the code’s security.
Has anyone tried using AI agents for trading, or are you still not ready to trust neural networks with your deposits?
