According to Jin10, Iraq's crude oil exports have rebounded to about 2.7 million barrels a day, despite shipping difficulties caused by the Strait of Hormuz crisis. Iraq Oil Ministry spokesman Basim Al-Rikabi said most exports are shipped through the southern route, while the northern route accounts for about 300,000 barrels a day. He said the current export level is already high given the situation, and the ministry plans to further increase shipments through both the southern and northern routes. Al-Rikabi said the target export capacity of the Iraq-Turkey pipeline is about 700,000 barrels a day, and the ministry is working to reach that level. He added that the pipeline's designed capacity is 1.5 million barrels a day, while the minimum capacity set under the two countries' agreement is 750,000 barrels a day. Exports through the pipeline are currently about 300,000 barrels a day, but the government plans to raise that to 750,000 barrels a day to boost exports and open more markets for Iraqi crude.
