Aker BP production disappoints as realized gas prices surge
Aker BP ASA’s (OL:AKRBP) third-quarter production came in below analyst expectations, while a sharp rise in realized gas prices and higher sales volumes helped offset part of the production decline, ahead of the Norwegian oil company’s full quarterly results later this month.
Average net production was 374,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day, down 2.4% from the previous quarter and 9.6% from the same period last year. Production was about 2% below analysts’ estimate of 382,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, according to the company’s compiled estimates.
