Crypto | New Coin Hunter | October 14

Would I dare buy the dip on coins that have plunged 70% and are still below their listing price?

I just scanned the perpetual futures listed on Binance within the past 90 days. Of the 18 coins, only a few look interesting. Here’s the bottom line:

Worth testing with a small position:
1. OPG is down 70% from its listing price, but has rebounded just 07% from its all-time low. It’s a classic early-stage “golden pit”—the price has been grinding along the floor and stabilizing. I’d place a small order and cut losses if it breaks below the previous low.
2. CTR is down 52% and has rebounded 5%. Same setup as OPG, but volume hasn’t picked up yet. I’d wait and see.
3. AIGENSYN is down 52% and has rebounded 21%. It’s moving faster than the first two and is no longer a pure “pit”—this is more like the first rebound.

Coins I wouldn’t touch:
- BTW ranks first with a score of 56, but it’s already up 64% from its listing price and has climbed 2.65x from the bottom. Chasing something like this is no different from trying to catch a falling knife.
- BILL is down 61% and has rebounded just 1%. It hasn’t really stopped falling yet, so jumping in now would be digging myself a hole.

I remember when I first started trading new coins: I’d see one down 50% and go all in, only to keep buying halfway down the slope. Eventually, I learned a rule: only consider getting in when two signals appear together—the price stops making new lows, and volume dries up.

The key to being a New Coin Hunter has never been chasing highs; it’s finding coins that have been beaten down and are starting to catch their breath. Which pits are you watching lately? Let’s talk in the comments—I want to see if we’re thinking alike.
