$HUMA This 15m chart looks a bit off.
Price got slammed down 3 points, volume shot to more than 4 times normal, and volatility Z hit 5.6. But look closely at OI—it only fell 0.31% on the 15m and 1.79% on the 1h. This doesn’t look like fresh shorts coming in so much as longs getting out first. Stop-losses getting triggered and positions shrinking: the market dropped fast, but the bears don’t seem that fired up either—net aggressive flow was only -2.1%.
What’s interesting is that the OI anomaly percentile hit 99.2%, ranking #3 across the entire pool. This has persisted for several periods, and the close also broke below the lower end of the last 20 5m candles. With 24h trading volume at just 8.82M, seeing an anomaly like this at that scale suggests there wasn’t much support in the pool to begin with.
My personal take: this is the late stage of deleveraging, not the start of a trend. If you want to look for shorts, wait for OI to build back up alongside a price breakdown. A decline like this, with volume drying up as positions are cut, doesn’t offer much value for chasing shorts—you could easily get taught a lesson by a rebound. I’ll mark an observation level for now and wait for the structure to play out.
