【Volume doesn't lie】
NEAR has fallen below $5, dropping 4.5% in 24 hours. Looks pretty scary, right?
But I took a quick look at the trading volume, and wow—it’s picked up in an interesting way.
This isn’t retail investors stampeding for the exits; there’s organized activity behind it. Either someone’s dumping, or market makers are using the opportunity to shake out weak hands. I’m keeping an eye on both possibilities, but either way, once things stabilize, the direction should become clear.
Honestly, $ 5.07 is important—and not important. The key is whether $ 4.84 holds. If it does, there’s still a chance. If it doesn’t, then we’re looking at more than just $4.80. Once support breaks, a lot of technical traders will sell, adding even more pressure.
There’s something I’ve been mulling over. NEAR has fallen about 75% from its peak, so its valuation really is low. But a low valuation doesn’t mean the price will go up—those are two different things. Plenty of coins fell 90% in 2017. Being undervalued has never been a reason for a rally; liquidity is.
So the question now is: Who’s buying, and what for? Is the ecosystem actually making progress, or are people just stocking up because it seems cheap?
I don’t have an answer yet. But one thing’s for sure—if good news does come at a level like this, combined with a surge in volume, the move up could be much faster than the slow grind down. The problem is, nobody knows when that “if” will happen.
I’m holding a little NEAR and haven’t touched it. Not because I believe in it—I’m just afraid that if I sell, I’ll miss out, and that feels worse than losing money. What about you? How are you feeling right now? Are you willing to take a chance on this move?
