Hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor is beginning to overhaul its sales channels, planning to reduce the number of authorized resellers to tighten supply chain oversight.

The move follows a recent hardware implant attack targeting Ledger wallets, which exposed security vulnerabilities in the distribution of crypto wallets. According to reports, in a letter sent on October 13, Trezor Chief Commercial Officer Danny Sanders said that some partners would lose their authorized status effective January 1, 2027. The company said the move aims to strengthen end-to-end supply chain control and prevent tampered devices from entering the market.
