XRP treasury company Evernorth faces a $443 million paper loss upon listing.
Evernorth (XRPN) debuted on Nasdaq on October 12. According to SEC filings, the key figures are:
1. Treasury holdings: Approximately 473 million XRP, plus about $300 million in cash.
2. Paper loss: XRP was priced at $2.36 when the deal was signed and $1.43 at closing (-39.5%). The treasury’s market value fell from about $1.12 billion to $677 million, wiping out roughly $443 million.
3. Ownership structure: Chris Larsen holds 2.34 million Class A shares; Ripple Labs holds 1.678 million shares, plus joint voting power over another 4.215 million shares; SBI holds 9.43 million Class A shares.
4. Amendment: A filing on October 12 corrected the share count for an investor whose funding was delayed, raising it from 663,500 to 1,078,600 (+415,100 shares) due to a clerical error.
Takeaway: The XRP version of “Strategy” is off to a rough start. The core assumption behind the treasury model is that a rising token price amplifies equity value; conversely, a falling price erodes it twice as fast. Evernorth’s first lesson as a public company is the latter. $XRP will directly determine the stock’s fate in the short term.
