Round-number levels get so much attention mainly because people tend to place orders and stop-losses near them. Orders often cluster around these levels, which is why they’re also called psychological levels.
The first pullback after breaking above one is often seen as a test: if the price can hold above the level, the idea that resistance has turned into support becomes more convincing.
If you’re trading futures, keep extra margin in your position so a single wick doesn’t liquidate you.
