RIPPLE PARTNERS WITH PRIVY, ACQUIRED BY STRIPE, TO INTEGRATE XRP PAYMENTS INTO APPS.
🤝 On October 13, Ripple announced a partnership with Privy, a company acquired by Stripe, to integrate XRP Ledger (XRPL) wallets directly into financial apps and digital platforms.
The integration will allow developers to create and manage wallets, sign transactions, and offer payments with XRP, the RLUSD stablecoin, and other network assets.
- Users will be able to make transactions without installing an external wallet or managing their private keys themselves.
The agreement also includes automated payments through artificial intelligence agents, using the x402 protocol to execute transactions between apps and digital services.
According to Ripple, the XRP Ledger has already processed 13 million payments made by AI agents, representing approximately 25% of network activity.
Privy also noted that XRPL has over 8 million funded accounts and has processed more than one trillion dollars in transferred value since its creation.
The integration will be rolled out progressively, with transaction controls and tools that will let apps cover their users’ fees.
For now, the announcement focuses on facilitating access to XRPL and expanding the ways XRP and RLUSD can be used in digital services.
