The most notable thing about RWUSD is that it isn’t a stablecoin, yet it’s beginning to offer a gateway to the market with “spot trading + zero fees + margin collateral.” Binance’s announcement says RWUSD/USDT went live on October 13 at 16:00 (UTC+8), with zero Maker/Taker fees on spot and margin trading pairs until further notice. Convert also supports zero-fee conversions to assets such as BTC and USDT. 🔍

This could affect how funds in $RWUSD , $USDC , and $USDT are held. The FAQ (updated September 17) is clear: RWUSD is a flexible-term yield product. Its returns may be backed by revenue from the Binance ecosystem and tokenized U.S. Treasuries and other RWAs, but the APR is determined by the platform. Redemptions are paid out only in USDC; standard redemptions incur a 0.05% fee and express redemptions a 0.1% fee. On-chain withdrawals and transfers between users are not supported.

The bullish case depends on stable trading depth, no significant redemption queues, and zero fees not creating notable price spreads. The neutral case is that it simply becomes a tool for managing funds. The bearish case is that users mistake it for a freely transferable stablecoin, or that redemptions are restricted during extreme market conditions. The real question is: once a yield product enters the trading market, are users buying yield—or the platform’s creditworthiness?
