Binance perpetual futures are becoming a pricing anchor for traditional finance.

On October 13, 21Shares launched Europe’s first pre-IPO synthetic Anthropic ETP. The product structure is worth unpacking:

1. Issuing vehicle: A newly established SPV (21Shares x FalconX Limited), combining 21Shares’ expertise in ETP structuring with FalconX’s prime brokerage balance sheet.
2. Underlying exposure: Tracks the Kaiko Anthropic USD Reference Index through a total return swap (TRS). The index’s daily reference price is derived from Binance Anthropic perpetual futures. No leverage.
3. The problem it addresses: Frontier AI is absorbing capital at an unprecedented pace, but most of its value remains locked in private companies. Traditional investors previously had no way to participate.

What’s interesting is the pricing chain: the “implied valuation” of a private AI company is ultimately determined by the price of a perpetual futures contract on Binance, then transmitted through an index into a regulated European ETP. For the first time, crypto derivatives are exporting pricing power in the opposite direction—to traditional financial products.

My take: This is more than a simple listing announcement. Binance perpetual futures are evolving from trading instruments into asset-pricing infrastructure—whoever controls liquidity controls pricing power.
