How Does Bitcoin Work? (Part 2) đŸȘ™

Yesterday, we talked about what Bitcoin is and why it’s valuable. Today, let’s take a look at how it works and the technology behind it—in simple terms.

Bitcoin works without a bank or government. The technology that powers it is called blockchain.

đŸ§© What Is Blockchain?

You can think of a blockchain as a digital register (ledger). Whenever someone sends or receives Bitcoin, the transaction is recorded in this register. The register is updated simultaneously on thousands of computers around the world, so no one can tamper with it or commit fraud.

💡 3 Important Things for New Users:

‱ Crypto Wallet: Bitcoin isn’t stored in a physical wallet, but in a digital wallet. This wallet has a Private Key (password) that you should never share with anyone.

‱ Public vs. Private Key: Your Public Key is like your bank account number (which you can share with everyone), while your Private Key is like your ATM PIN (which only you should know).

‱ Transactions Are Permanent: If you send Bitcoin to the wrong address, it’s impossible to get it back. So always double-check the address.

In the next post, we’ll talk about how to buy Bitcoin for the first time and trade safely!
