The Alpenglow upgrade is scheduled to go live on mainnet on October 21 at 14:50 UTC (22:50 Beijing time).

🧠 It’s replacing TowerBFT, the consensus mechanism that’s been in use since the genesis block
The new mechanism is called Votor. Validators will no longer vote through on-chain transactions; they’ll confirm directly by messaging each other, freeing up block space for users.
