Someone asked: What problem does liquid staking actually solve?
I usually answer like this: To run an independent validator on Ethereum, you need to stake at least 32 ETH and keep a node running continuously. The risks of liquid staking are compounded: smart contract vulnerabilities, slashing of node operators, and depegging in the secondary market. If you use it for leverage, there’s also liquidation risk.
