According to CNBC, Jim Cramer said Tuesday semiconductor stocks should not be abandoned despite a recent selloff, even as the VanEck Semiconductor ETF fell 7.2% over six consecutive sessions. He warned that higher oil prices and interest rates could extend the decline, but said chip stocks are increasingly trading together regardless of individual fundamentals, obscuring demand that drove the sector's rally earlier this year.

Cramer pointed to a recent visit to an Apple showroom, where he saw devices with a more personalized Siri and advanced smart home technology, as evidence that more sophisticated consumer products require additional computing power and memory. He said Micron has been one of the biggest winners of the artificial intelligence build-out, with demand for memory chips far outstripping supply, and noted that its 26 long-term customer agreements cover about 35% of revenue through 2030, with talks already underway for 2031. He also cited Intel and AMD as makers of CPUs that are basic building blocks for nearly every machine.
