$TRUTH The old high has finally been reclaimed on an hourly close. I’ll raise my assessment of the recovery, but I’m still not chasing here; I’ll wait for a retest to confirm. What was missing in the previous update was evidence that price could hold above 0.019742 at the close. We now have that evidence; 0.020330, the level left behind by the earlier spike and retracement, has still not been held through a full hourly candle.

At 08:03 Beijing time on October 14, Binance TRUTHUSDT perpetual was quoted at 0.020250, up 32.909% over the rolling 24 hours, with about 71.93 million USDT in trading volume. It ranked second among 523 eligible USDT perpetual contracts. The 08:00–09:00 hour is not over yet, so the current quote does not replace the closing price.

The 07:00 update recorded a low-volume rebound during 06:00–07:00, closing at 0.019620. Price broke above the old high intrahour but did not hold there. The just-completed 07:00–08:00 hour opened at 0.019618 and closed at 0.020272, up about 3.33%, with a high of 0.020923 and a low of 0.019114. The close reclaimed 0.019742 and the previous hour’s high of 0.019828, while the low also continued to rise from 0.018700. This is more convincing than a mere intrahour breakout.

Trading participation has also changed. Volume in the new hour was about 6.14 million USDT, up about 37.23% from 4.48 million in the previous hour. The low-volume recovery noted in the previous update is beginning to attract greater volume. However, it is still below the 10.88 million recorded during the 05:00–06:00 retracement hour. We can say participation in the recovery has increased, but not that the earlier divergence has been fully absorbed; nor should trading volume be treated as net inflows.

The four-hour period from 04:00 to 08:00 has now ended, opening at 0.019030 and closing at 0.020272, up about 6.53%, with around 26.10 million USDT in volume. It included an initial rise, a high-volume retracement, and then a series of recovery moves, ultimately closing above 0.019742. Compared with the 28.28 million traded in the previous 00:00–04:00 period, four-hour volume was still about 7.70% lower. This was a rise that managed to reclaim a level, not yet one accompanied by persistently accelerating volume.

At 08:00, OI was about 597.6 million tokens, up about 4.12% from 574.0 million at 07:00. The price rise coincided with an expansion in exposure, more notably than the 0.20% increase in the previous hour. But OI does not distinguish between longs and shorts, so this does not confirm that all the increase came from new longs. The newly obtained, settled 08:00 funding rate was positive 0.036811%, lower than the positive 0.040504% at 04:00. Longs are still paying shorts, but the cost did not rise further between these two settlement points. A positive funding rate alone does not prove a short squeeze.

These changes partly support the observations in the previous update: the old high has been reclaimed, the lows are continuing to rise, and participation has improved. What remains unconfirmed is the retest. The new hour’s low of 0.019114 was still below 0.019742, showing that price did not stay above the old high throughout the breakout candle. Whether a subsequent pullback can hold this level would provide stronger evidence that buying support has recovered.

TRUTH is associated with Swarm Network. I rechecked the project’s and exchange’s primary sources for this update, but could not verify a single announcement from today that directly explains this rise. Older listing information is used to confirm the project’s identity; old promotional material or historical airdrops are not being repackaged as today’s catalysts.

I’m watching the retest and close around 0.019742. If this level holds, I’ll next watch whether 0.020330 can be reclaimed and whether 0.020923 can shift from an intrahour high into a sustained advance. If price falls back below the old high, or loses 0.019114 as a low, I’ll lower my assessment of the recovery; 0.018700 remains the next lower level. The new 08:00–12:00 four-hour period has just begun, so it’s too early to call the outcome. The current evidence justifies shifting from waiting for a recovery to watching whether the breakout holds, but not treating it as a confirmed sustained uptrend.
