Just chatting—seeing “Overnight global headlines you need to know this Wednesday: Fed’s Williams says one more rate hike this year would be appropriate, but there’s no need to raise rates next year; all three major U.S. stock indexes closed lower, with semiconductor and memory stocks…” reminded me of when I first got into the market.
Back then, whenever I saw a news headline, I’d rush to make a trade. As a result, I bought near the top several times and sold in a panic.
These days, I do things differently: I read the whole article first, then wait to see how the market reacts, and only then decide whether to act. $BTC I’ll do the same this time.
When it comes down to it, the easiest mistake to make isn’t getting the call wrong—it’s letting a single piece of news dictate your pace.
