Bitcoin is eating the market again. BTC dominance climbed back above 60% on October 13 — roughly 60.4% on the TradingView gauge, up from about 58.5% in early October — as altcoins took the harder hit in the latest sell-off.

Over the past 7 days, BTC is down about 3.2%. Solana fell 11%, Dogecoin 12%, XRP 10%, and Ether 8%. Capital is hiding in the biggest, most liquid asset — the classic risk-off rotation, not the start of altcoin season.

Sentiment has cooled too: the Fear & Greed Index slipped to 55 (neutral), from 67 a week ago. Next catalyst: US September CPI, due 08:30 ET October 14 (20:30 Beijing time October 14).

Dominance above 60% tells you where money feels safe. The question is whether it stays there after the CPI print.

Not financial advice.

Bitcoin is “eating the market” again. On October 13, BTC dominance climbed back above 60% — about 60.4% according to TradingView, up from roughly 58.5% in early October. Altcoins took a harder hit in this sell-off: over the past 7 days, BTC fell about 3.2%, SOL fell 11%, DOGE fell 12%, XRP fell 10%, and ETH fell 8%. Capital is sheltering in the largest, most liquid asset. This is a classic risk-off rotation, not altcoin season. The Fear & Greed Index also fell to 55 (neutral), down from 67 a week earlier. The next catalyst is US September CPI, due at 08:30 ET on October 14 (20:30 Beijing time). Dominance above 60% shows where money is seeking safety; the key question is whether it can hold there after the CPI release. Not investment advice; for reference only.
