What information does a single candlestick actually record?
Cryptocurrency markets trade around the clock, so the “open” of a daily candle is simply a time point determined by the time zone. Binance daily candles are divided by default at 00:00 UTC (08:00 Beijing time), based on the chart’s time zone setting.
The length of the body reflects the price change from open to close during that period, while the length of the wicks shows how much the price pulled back after reaching its highs or lows.
