$TRUTH closed higher again, while trading volume continued to contract. I’m staying on the sidelines: support near the previous high is clearer than it was an hour earlier, but the upside has not opened up yet. For now, this rebound cannot be read as the start of a new acceleration.

At 03:02 Beijing time on October 14, Binance TRUTHUSDT perpetual was quoted at 0.018579, up 26.414% over the rolling 24 hours, with approximately 40.11 million USDT in trading volume. It ranked second among 523 eligible USDT perpetual contracts. The 03:00–04:00 hour is not yet complete, so the current quote must be distinguished from the eventual close.

The 02:00 update focused on the pullback after the breakout. The 01:00–02:00 candle closed at 0.018137; its low of 0.017641 briefly dipped below the previous high of 0.017659, but it recovered by the close. The newly completed 02:00–03:00 candle rose from 0.018137 to close at 0.018493, up about 1.96%. Its low was 0.017767, and throughout the hour it did not fall back below 0.017659. This provides further support for the level holding after the retest—the clearest improvement over the previous update.

However, the improvement is mainly on the downside. The highs for 00:00–01:00, 01:00–02:00, and 02:00–03:00 were 0.018766, 0.018609, and 0.018563, respectively, declining in succession. The lows were 0.017360, 0.017641, and 0.017767, rising in succession. The trading range is narrowing, and the latest close remains below the highs of the previous two candles. This suggests the two sides are repricing within a tighter range; higher lows alone are not enough to confirm an upside breakout.

Trading volume is also falling. It was about 8.25 million USDT from 00:00–01:00, 7.11 million from 01:00–02:00, and 4.38 million from 02:00–03:00. Volume in the latest hour fell 38.45% from the previous hour. Participation continued to contract even as the price recovered slightly, indicating that the surge in activity seen after midnight has not returned. Lower volume could reflect easing selling pressure, or weaker demand to chase the price. To distinguish between the two, we need to see whether the close can hold when the price approaches the upper range again.

OI rose from 552.9 million tokens at 02:00 to 554.7 million at 03:00, an increase of only about 0.34%, and remains below the 561.8 million recorded at 01:00. After the reduction in positions over the previous hour, exposure has not clearly resumed expanding. Falling volume alongside nearly flat OI weakens the case that “new capital is driving continued acceleration.” OI itself also cannot identify the direction of positions or net capital inflows.

The latest settled funding rate available remains the positive 0.041572% reading from midnight; there is no new settlement record for 03:00. This only carries forward the context of holding costs; this round should not be described as another rise in the funding rate. Funding-rate direction, OI, and price should be interpreted separately, and should not be used to speculate about a short squeeze or trader identities.

The complete 20:00–00:00 four-hour candle closed at 0.017451, up 12.60%—a completed fact. Only three hourly candles of the 00:00–04:00 period have completed so far, with the final one still to come. So this update does not give an early four-hour close, nor does it compare three hours of volume against a four-hour period as if they were equal in length.

TRUTH is associated with Swarm Network. I rechecked primary sources from the project and exchange, but could not verify any single announcement from today that directly explains the latest rebound. The old listing announcement is used only to confirm the project’s identity. This assessment is based on the new hourly candle holding after the pullback, and on volume and exposure not expanding in tandem.

Next, watch support at 0.017767 and 0.017659, then see whether a completed close can reclaim 0.018609 and 0.018766. If volume recovers but the price still cannot hold the highs, I’ll downgrade the assessment of the advance. If the higher lows fail, I’ll lower my assessment of support. Support below has improved, but the advance above remains unverified; waiting for the range to resolve is more consistent with the current evidence.
