Even cold wallet giant Trezor has chickened out and started cutting back its distributor network. After supply chain trouble, it’s urgently scaling back. They say the devices weren’t hacked, but you’d have to be an idiot to believe that.

It takes just one smoking gun to shatter trust in hardware wallets. The whole idea of holding your own private keys depends on the device not having been tampered with before it leaves the factory. The more middlemen, the greater the risk.

A heads-up to everyone hoarding crypto: only buy cold wallets from the official website.
