Today, $the liquidation numbers across the market are brutal!
Guys,
With Asian stock markets plunging this afternoon, liquidations keep mounting.
But I lied to my family!
Macro data:
$814 million liquidated ($686 million in long positions, $128 million in short positions).
U.S. Treasury yields are still above 5.3%, putting a lid on the market. Things look awful.
And my positions are even worse: $ZEC long: -116%, $BTC long: -72%, $ETH long: -55%. Add my newly opened SOXS and SNDK positions, and all five are uniformly showing green—which means losses.
What hurts most is that my wife asked how trading has been lately. I just couldn't bring myself to tell her I'd lost everything, so I lied and said, “I made a small profit.” She actually believed me, and especially went out and bought oysters tonight to help nourish me, saying she supports me.
Now, looking at the oysters on the table, I have mixed feelings. The CPI report comes out tomorrow night (10/14), and it's my last hope of turning things around. I have to swallow these oysters tonight! No selling at a loss, no adding to my positions—I'm going all in on tomorrow night's CPI!
Guys, do you tell your family when you lose money trading crypto?
