Crypto Basics | How is a coin’s market cap calculated?
The turnover rate is generally estimated by dividing 24-hour trading volume by market cap. It reflects how quickly coins are changing hands.
Market cap is simply a figure calculated by multiplying the price by the circulating supply. It doesn’t represent the actual amount of money invested. When trading is quiet, even a small amount of money can significantly move the market cap.
