šŸ” Will bots no longer see your trades? Aptos launches new protection

Imagine: you buy a coin, and a bot sees your transaction before it’s executed and uses that information to profit at your expense. This scheme is called a sandwich attack.

šŸ›”ļø What’s changed?

On October 13, Encrypted Mempool went live on Aptos—a feature that encrypts transaction contents before their order in a block is determined. This makes it harder for bots to manipulate trades.

āš ļø But there’s a catch: the feature is optional, the sender’s address and fee remain visible, and encrypted transactions may cost more.

This is an interesting step toward fairer trading in DeFi. But only time will tell whether this kind of protection becomes widespread.
