【Decision Support | STX】Bullish | Medium | High chase risk | 24–48h
The broader market is flat, while money is pouring into the old L2 narrative. A second wave of volume is needed for the rally to continue; otherwise, it may be a one-day move.

What happened
STX ranked among today’s top gainers: up about 8%, with trading volume nearly 4× its 7-day average. CoinDesk spotlighted Stacks as a Bitcoin L2, and it’s up about 50% over four weeks. Bitget perpetuals are around 0.411, with STX outperforming BTC by about 7 percentage points over 24h; BTC itself has been nearly flat.

The logic
The main driver is momentum rotation into BTC L2s, not an unlock or listing. At 04:00, 1h volume spiked to about 12×, pushing the price to a high of 0.460; it then pulled back to 0.403. At 11:00, a second wave again brought roughly 12× volume, lifting the candle about 7% to 0.450. But the current price is already below both peaks (from the event price to now: about −7%). Further gains hinge on whether another wave of comparable trading volume arrives—if volume fades, the move is over. OSMO and BAT are also part of this sentiment-driven rotation, but their catalysts are less convincing. STX has a relatively clean L2 narrative by comparison, but this is still not a fundamental reversal. Bear case: volume retreats toward the median and price breaks below 0.403, or the broader market weakens.

What to watch next
Confirmation: a 1h close above 0.4496 while volume remains clearly above the median. Invalidation: a break below 0.4029.
