šŸ” Aptos can now hide transactions

Encrypted Mempool has launched on the Aptos mainnet—a mechanism that encrypts transaction contents before they are ordered in a block.

This makes front-running and sandwich attacks more difficult, where bots snoop on other people’s transactions and profit from executing them.

šŸ”¹ Encryption is optional

šŸ”¹ The sender’s address and fee remain visible

šŸ”¹ The data is revealed after the block is confirmed

The protection requires a higher fee, but tests showed it added only about 20 ms of latency
