💡 My take in one sentence: $BTC grinding back and forth around 83k isn’t necessarily a bad thing

The market’s biggest variable over the past week hasn’t been crypto itself, but U.S. Treasuries. The 10-year yield surged to a multi-year high, pouring cold water on all risk assets. Bitcoin has been kept below 84,000, with longs and shorts repeatedly getting liquidated—but that’s also flushed out excessive leverage.

$ETH has been weaker. Open interest and funding rates both point to the same thing: traders are betting on a direction, but no one dares to take a large position. This kind of “low-volume standoff” often sets the stage for the next trend, but macro factors will have the final say on which way it goes.

BNB and Solana are following the broader market lower, and there’s no sign of altcoin season for now.

My take: Hold spot, and don’t get trigger-happy with futures. The market will most likely choose a clear direction around the Fed’s next statement.
