Storage stocks are still plunging! SK Hynix drops more than 10%, while SanDisk and Micron continue to face selling pressure!

U.S. storage stocks fell across the board last night, and the sell-off continued in Asian markets today. There’s still no sign of a rebound in premarket U.S. trading, either!
$SKHYNIX Hynix fell more than 10% intraday, while Samsung dropped 8%!

Over the past 24 hours, $SNDK SanDisk fell 8.5%, and $MU Micron dropped 6.2%. Even SOXL, the triple-leveraged semiconductor ETF, fell nearly 13%!


This pullback in storage stocks has clearly intensified, and there are still no clear signs of a bottom in the short term!
China’s CXMT announced progress in high-density DRAM technology, an important catalyst for this sell-off.

Storage stocks had surged too far over the past few months. Shortages, price hikes, and improving margins—almost every optimistic expectation had already been priced in.
Even Micron’s strong earnings couldn’t lift its share price. As soon as news of competition emerged, the entire sector came under broad selling pressure.

This shows that investors are selling not just because of competitive risks, but also because growth expectations for the entire storage sector had become too high.
And the selling pressure hasn’t been confined to storage: Nvidia and leveraged semiconductor ETFs are also under pressure, as AI hardware faces a broader pullback in risk appetite.

Yet technological advances often emerge in a steady stream, like shoots after rain, once valuation bubbles have burst.
