$Q The latest two hourly candles look more like sideways digestion, and have yet to reclaim the upper range highlighted in the previous analysis. I’m still watching: the four-hour volume expansion is now confirmed, and contract open interest has continued to rise, but this participation has not yet translated into fresh closing-price progress.

At 21:04 on October 13, Binance QUSDT perpetual was quoted at 0.039039, up 23.518% over the rolling 24 hours, with approximately 95.66 million USDT in volume, ranking first among 523 complete qualifying USDT perpetual contracts. The 21:00–22:00 candle is not yet complete, so its quote cannot substitute for a closing price.

Before 19:00, the previous analysis noted that volume from 18:00 to 19:00 had increased 40.7%, while the close rose only slightly. It called for watching whether 0.040097 and 0.040634 could be reclaimed, and whether 0.038774 could hold. After that, the 19:00–20:00 candle reached a high of 0.039998 and a low of 0.038662, closing at 0.039402; the 20:00–21:00 candle reached a high of 0.039846 and a low of 0.038700, closing at 0.039384. The upper range remains unreclaimed, and the first support level was also breached at one point. The latest hourly candle merely made a slightly higher low. This is new structure in the current update, and should not be described as all the conditions from the previous analysis having been met.

The close rose from 0.039141 to 0.039402, then edged down to 0.039384, indicating a clear slowdown in progress. Volume in the latest hour was approximately 7.95 million USDT, slightly above the previous hour’s 7.44 million, while the price barely moved. This could mean that both sides are exchanging positions within the current range, or that upward momentum has paused. Without evidence on the direction of individual trades, not all volume can be called aggressive buying, and there is no way to identify any supposed major players.

The full 16:00–20:00 four-hour candle can now be verified: it rose from a close of 0.037915 to 0.039402, up approximately 3.92%, with a high of 0.040634, a low of 0.035085, and volume of approximately 48.83 million USDT. Volume in the preceding 12:00–16:00 window was 18.01 million, so the latest window saw an increase of 171.1%. Greater participation and a higher four-hour close preserve the recovery backdrop, but the close remains below both the high and the 0.040097 level being watched. The volume expansion is confirmed; a sustained breakout is not. These cannot be combined into the same conclusion.

This four-hour candle’s high volume also includes the sharp dip and rebound from 16:00 to 17:00, so the entire volume cannot be interpreted as buyers chasing higher prices. The gain across consecutive four-hour windows slowed from 5.34% to 3.92%, while volume increased significantly. It is therefore more useful to watch whether the next rebound can produce a higher close with less back-and-forth. If volume continues to rise while price still cannot reclaim the upper range, the view that buying pressure is becoming less effective remains in place.

OI rose from 429.2 million tokens at 20:00 to 443.9 million at 21:00, an increase of 3.42%. Exposure expanded while the latest hourly close was essentially flat, indicating that disagreement remains in the derivatives market. This does not prove net inflows, nor can it establish whether the new positions are long or short. How price eventually exits the range will matter more to the current assessment than the increase in open interest itself.

The funding rate settled at 20:00 was positive, but slightly lower than at 16:00. This is only a comparison of settlements that have already occurred; it should not be treated as a forecast for the next funding rate. The 20:00–24:00 four-hour window has only completed its first hourly candle, so further data is needed to determine whether this sideways digestion will develop into a longer consolidation.

I rechecked official Binance and Quack AI materials for this update and verified Q’s identity as an AI governance project, but found no single announcement from today that could directly explain the price action over these two hours. The 2025 listing and token introductions are historical context, not new catalysts today, and adoption growth cannot be inferred from price action.

Next, watch for a reclaim of 0.039998 and 0.040097, followed by 0.040634. To the downside, watch 0.038700 and 0.038662. If the lows fall again and price still cannot reclaim the upper range, the sideways digestion may weaken. A higher low accompanied by a higher close would be needed to increase confidence in continuation. For now, this is consolidation after a high-volume recovery, and more evidence from price action is needed.
