This market is getting harder and harder to trade!

In the middle of the night, $BTC and $ETH started falling, dragging altcoins down across the board.

Quite a few altcoins plunged more than 10%. Prices bounced back in the short term, but many people had already been liquidated.

This drop didn’t come out of nowhere. The Fed has taken a hawkish stance, expectations of another rate hike by year-end remain, Treasury yields are staying high, and institutional funds continue to flow out. BTC ETFs saw net outflows of $679 million over the week, while ETH ETFs saw net outflows of $542 million.

On top of that, nearly $1.19 billion was liquidated in 24 hours, including $1.06 billion in long positions.

Put simply, people who chased the rally and used high leverage got badly shaken out by the market once again.

So what should you do next?

For Bitcoin, keep an eye on around 81,000; for Ethereum, around 2,400. Whether these two levels hold is crucial. If they do, keep watching the strength of the rebound. If they break decisively, don’t rush to buy the dip—wait patiently for the next support level.

Personally, I think you really can’t trade this market the way you used to. Whatever you do, don’t chase altcoins just because they’re rising. Right now, when the market pulls back, it’s all about seeing which ones fall the most.

If you want to buy the dip during a pullback, scale in gradually—don’t go all in at once. If you’re sitting on profits, take some off the table.

When the market is doing well, you think about making money. When it isn’t, you need to think even more about protecting your capital. There are always opportunities; you don’t need to chase every move, and especially don’t give back to the market all the profits you worked so hard to earn.
