📈 BTC reclaims $84K—how far can the rebound go?

BTC is currently around $84.1K, up about 1.4% over the past 24 hours.
ETH is around $2.57K, and SOL around $113.

Last week, BTC briefly fell to around $80K.
Now it’s back above $84K.
ETH and SOL have rebounded even more,
while some high-volatility altcoins have even posted double-digit gains.

But keep in mind:
A rebound from the lows doesn’t mean the trend has reversed.

🟢 Short covering is driving the market recovery

Over the past 24 hours, short positions accounted for a large share of liquidations in BTC and some major coins.

When prices rebound quickly,
short sellers forced to close their positions can amplify the rally further.

This helps explain why the market can rebound rapidly
even when sentiment is fragile.

But confirming a genuine trend reversal
will also require sustained spot buying.

🔴 ETF flows remain a concern

In the week of October 5–9,
U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw net outflows of about $681M,
and ETH ETFs saw net outflows of about $542M.

ETH ETFs have now seen outflows for nine consecutive trading days.

Prices are rebounding,
but fund flows haven’t offered equally strong confirmation.

This is one of the key divergences to watch this week.

🏦 Strategy continues to bet on BTC

Strategy holds about 848,000 BTC.

Over the weekend, Michael Saylor again signaled that the company would continue accumulating.

Ongoing BTC allocations to corporate balance sheets
show that the long-term reserve-asset narrative is still alive.

However, corporate holdings and ETF flows represent different types of demand,
so neither should be treated as a simple proxy for the entire market’s direction.

🌉 Wormhole launches W Token 2.0

Wormhole announced its W Token 2.0 plan,
proposing a 4% base yield and a biweekly unlock schedule.

The market’s focus isn’t just on the yield,
but also on where it comes from, the pace of token releases, and whether long-term demand can absorb the additional supply.

High yields are attractive;
sustainability is what matters.

🎯 Today’s key takeaways:

BTC has reclaimed $84K,
ETH and SOL have rebounded more strongly,
short covering has helped drive the recovery,
but ETF flows remain weak.

Watch these three signals next:

Can $82K continue to provide support?
Can BTC break decisively above $85K?
Will institutional money flow back in after the CPI release?

What’s really worth looking forward to
isn’t how much prices rise in a single day,

but whether sustained buying steps in
after the rebound.
