【Token approval is not the same as a transfer】
On common EVM chains, the ERC-20 approve operation allows a specified contract to call transferFrom and move your tokens within the approved allowance. Approval usually does not trigger an immediate transfer, but the permission may remain active.
“Unlimited approval” saves you from repeating the process, but it can increase the potential losses caused by a malicious contract or a contract vulnerability. Disconnecting your wallet from a website does not revoke on-chain approvals.
Before approving, verify the chain, token, spender address, and allowance. Grant only the amount needed whenever possible, and regularly review permissions you no longer use. Revoking an approval usually requires gas, and cannot recover assets that have already been transferred.
Remember: connecting, signing, approving, and transferring are different actions.#区块链知识 #Wallet Security
