Binance co-CEO Richard Teng told Fortune on the sidelines of the TOKEN2049 Singapore summit (October 7–8) that Binance is assessing whether to offer users exposure to the top 10 stocks in each of the Hong Kong, South Korean, Taiwanese, and Brazilian markets as part of an all-weather, multi-asset strategy. Fortune and CryptoBriefing reported the news on October 13. The initiative is still under assessment, with no launch date or product format announced, and no indication yet of whether it would involve tokenized assets or direct trading.

In 2026, Binance had launched tokenized U.S. stocks and commodity derivatives (including precious metals and crude oil), as well as USDT-settled pre-IPO perpetual contracts offering exposure to the valuations of private companies such as Anthropic. According to CryptoBriefing, in June of that year it opened direct trading in more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs to non-U.S. users, while bStocks tokenized stocks launched on BNB Chain. Around 40% of trading volume in some stock-related products took place outside traditional market hours. By September 2026, the on-chain value of tokenized stocks worldwide had exceeded $3 billion, with BNB Chain accounting for about $1 billion and around 1.8 million holders.

Teng described the move as “weatherproofing”—building resilience against volatility—and said the company was assessing exposure to leading stocks in the four markets based on user demand. Whether the initiative will proceed and which market would be prioritized remain subject to an official announcement.
