Microsoft unveiled its next-generation in-house AI chip, Maia 300, on Monday and announced that it would begin deploying the chip at a multi-gigawatt scale next year. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella wrote that Maia 300 is 40% more efficient than mainstream GPU systems.
