Crypto | STAR Radar | October 13
Day 18 since listing. Score: 25. Doesn’t meet the criteria—but that’s exactly what I want to talk about.
My rule: I never make a move before the score hits 50. The radar says it’s nearing the bottom, but the price isn’t stabilizing and volume isn’t picking up. That’s sentiment, not structure.
Let’s look at a few hard indicators:
- The aggressive buy ratio is 0.99? Sounds bullish, but taker_bullish is false, so the direction is wrong. It’s fake. I’ve been burned by this kind of “false strength” before. Last year, I jumped into a similar setup and got trapped the very next day.
- Open interest has dropped 14.5% over 7 days. Longs are exiting, and no fresh money is coming in.
- The volume ratio is only 0.04. There’s no one stepping in to buy.
- The price is still drifting lower and hasn’t stabilized.
The one bright spot: it hasn’t made a new low in 3 days. But that alone isn’t enough to form a bottom.
Bottom forecast: It’s already within the BSB bottoming window (reference bottom: 0.128), with 6 days to go before the average bottoming point. A true bottom could appear within a week at the earliest, or in two weeks if it takes longer.
My take: This isn’t bottom-fishing yet; it’s still searching for a bottom. Choose one of two approaches:
1) Stay on the sidelines and wait for confirmation: the price stabilizes, the volume ratio rises above 1, and open interest recovers. Enter only when all three conditions are met.
2) If you want to get in early, use no more than 5% of your position and place a stop-loss below the previous low.
BTC is moving sideways around 83,000, ETH is struggling at 2,500, and SOL is down 3.9%. The broader market is giving no signal—any independent move by a new coin is an illusion.
