① Calling a smart contract, such as minting, generally uses quite a bit more Gas than a regular transfer.
② If a transfer fails, the Gas already used is usually not refunded, because validators did execute it.
③ Before confirming, check the estimated fee shown in your wallet. If it’s unusually high, stop.
