【Terms explained】What do “cliff” and “vesting” mean?
A typical arrangement is “a 1-year cliff + 3 years of linear vesting”: nothing vests during the first year; once the year is up, a portion vests upfront, and the remainder vests evenly each month.
The team and investors’ shares in $ARB vest over 4 years: they are fully locked up during the first year; once the year is up, one quarter unlocks, and the rest unlocks monthly thereafter.
The market is always uncertain, so decide in advance what to do if your call turns out to be wrong.

Make your own decisions when buying or selling—don’t follow the crowd.
