Binance lists RWUSD on Spot from 08:00 UTC on 13/10: RWUSD/USDT pair, zero fees, and Cross Margin collateral.
According to Binance’s official announcement (~03:30 UTC), RWUSD is not a new meme coin. It’s the ecosystem’s flexible-yield receipt (daily rewards, with returns potentially backed by real-world assets such as US T-bills). Its target peg is 1:1 to the subscribed stablecoin, plus interest; upon redemption, it converts to USDC. On-chain deposits and withdrawals of the token are not available for now. Margin borrowing is unavailable at launch. Convert (to BTC, USDT, etc.) will also be available with zero fees within an hour after Spot opens.
The prevailing view: Binance is opening Spot liquidity for an existing Earn product. Useful if you want to exit your yield without waiting for redemption, or use a stable-like asset as Cross Margin collateral. This is not a directional signal for $BTC or $ETH .
After 08:00 UTC, there are two clear scenarios:
- The peg holds near 1.00 with a decent order book: zero fees mainly serve as a bridge between Earn and Spot.
- The spread is wide or the order book is thin: Binance says the Price Index (not Spot) remains the Margin/Futures reference, so Spot trading risk is not the same as collateral risk.
Will you trade the receipt’s liquidity right at the open, or stay in Earn until redemption?
