According to Bloomberg, hardware wallet maker OneKey has revoked Malaysian retailer CryptoBilis’s distribution authorization after funds from some Ledger wallets sold through the retailer were stolen. Ledger is investigating the losses and has confirmed that one victim’s device contained an unauthorized hardware implant. On-chain firm YFarmX estimates the stolen amount at $103 million, but Ledger has not confirmed this figure. CryptoBilis suspended sales and shipments of hardware wallets in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia on October 10. OneKey said it has received no reports of user assets being affected, but will offer free replacements for devices purchased through the retailer between March 1 and October 12, and will stop accepting new distributors.
