On-chain analysis | Old coins moving doesn’t mean they’re being sold
CoinDesk reported on Oct. 13, citing Arkham and mempool.space, that a wallet that received BTC in 2020 transferred about 4,582 BTC on Monday to five addresses, worth about $377.6 million at the time of the transfers. As of publication, the receiving addresses had not transferred the funds again.
What can be confirmed so far is a movement of funds, not a sale. It remains to be seen whether the funds move to addresses labeled as belonging to exchanges; this should be assessed alongside net exchange inflows. Splitting funds across addresses may also reflect custody or security adjustments.#链上数据 #BTC
