$ETH I regret not getting in on this move from 2407 to 2510 today.

When that huge vertical red candle came crashing down this morning, I was still holding yesterday’s long position, watching helplessly as it slid from 2480 to 2430. My hand shook, but I still couldn’t bring myself to cut my losses. And what happened? I finally sold at the bottom at 2410—just three points above the day’s low.

You think I don’t understand stop-losses? I know better than anyone where I should set one. But when the moment comes, all I can think is, “Wait a little longer, let’s see what happens. Maybe it’ll bounce back.” You don’t lose to the market—you lose to your own reluctance to accept a loss.

Later, the price shot straight back up from 2407 to 2510. I stared at the screen without saying a word. Those 100 points weren’t an opportunity the market denied me; I was the one who pushed it away with my own hands.

I’m not writing this to ask for sympathy. I just want to say this to the guys: I’ve written the words “stop-loss” a hundred times and talked about them a thousand times, but when it comes to my own trades, I still make mistakes. So don’t believe in “gurus who always win.” We’re all human—we all get greedy, we all get scared, and we all let our hands shake at the very bottom.

All I can do is write down today’s lesson and, next time I get the urge to jump back in, pull this up and give myself a slap.
