【Quick explainer】Does a long/short ratio above 1 mean longs are in the majority?
The platform-wide account long/short ratio is the number of accounts with a net long position divided by the number of accounts with a net short position. Each account counts as one, regardless of position size.
The account long/short ratio counts traders, so it more closely reflects the bias of the majority. The large-trader position long/short ratio compares position sizes and shows which side top accounts are betting on.
