What makes smart contracts “smart”?
A smart contract is a program deployed on a blockchain. When predefined conditions are met, the network executes it automatically according to its code.
In 2016, The DAO project was attacked due to a code vulnerability. Ethereum subsequently underwent a hard fork, and the chain that did not follow the fork continued as Ethereum Classic (ETC).
When managing funds, remember one key rule: before interacting with a newly launched contract, test it with a small amount first. Don’t commit a large amount of funds right away.
