Old Musk is still trying to shift the blame. U.S. memory stocks fell yesterday, and you can’t blame it all on China’s substitute capacity. Just look at the market: yesterday, it wasn’t just memory stocks that fell—the entire semiconductor sector, including CPUs, GPUs, and optical communications, was down.

So, more accurately, it was tech stocks that fell, not just the memory sector. As for the reasons, I’m more inclined to think it was a combination of rising oil prices, higher Treasury yields, and uncertainty ahead of earnings season.

Back to Musk: the old guy is still just trying to praise $SPCX . That said, $SPCX really is in a league of its own in commercial spaceflight right now. Although China now has several commercial space companies, none can match $SPCX in scale or technology.

Now, about China’s high-tech development: I think it’s definitely a good thing for ordinary people. Whenever China enters a field, consumers can usually buy products that are better and cheaper than before. Telecommunications, electric vehicles, home appliances, and smartphones are all examples. Put simply, it’s competition from Chinese companies that makes these products more affordable.

I’m planning to build my own PC next year. Bring on those domestically made memory modules!
