According to Jin10, OpenAI is reportedly in talks with a secret startup developing AI video tools for filmmakers to secure access to Sora, modify its features, and sell software or other services based on the model. The startup was founded months ago by Hollywood producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, former Sora research lead Bill Peebles, and former Dropbox CFO Sujay Jaswa, and its name has not been disclosed. It is unclear whether the startup will obtain Sora's weights, but people familiar with the matter said that if a deal is reached, it would receive sufficiently deep access to allow extensive customization.
