When asked, “What does a DEX aggregator do?”
I usually answer: A DEX aggregator checks quotes from multiple decentralized exchanges and liquidity pools at once to find a better route for each swap. Any single pool has limited depth. Splitting a large swap across several pools means each pool experiences less price impact, so the overall execution price is usually better.
