If you always rush in only after screenshots of people getting rich flood your feed, this framework is for ordinary investors like you.

Don’t rush to guess which coin will rise. First, check whether altcoins are already in the late stages of a bubble.

Bubbles usually don’t appear out of nowhere. They grow through the same sequence: liquidity increases and the market starts telling a new story; people start making money, fueling expectations of financing, airdrops, and exchange listings; then new coins launch at high valuations with low circulating supplies, while their token supply and prices are propped up by a concentrated group.

The three signals below are what you really need to watch out for when they appear together.

1. Valuations are rising faster than circulating supply

When looking at new coins, don’t focus only on their current market cap. Also consider their fully diluted valuation, circulating supply ratio, and upcoming unlocks. A high FDV and low circulating supply mean there are few tokens available to trade now, but many more could be released in the future.

Prices can look strong as they rise, but if incoming capital can’t absorb unlocks and selling pressure, holders at the top may start to lose confidence.

2. Hype starts to replace fundamental information

When KOLs are all promoting a coin at once, the project team is pushing publicity heavily, comments repeatedly call it “a new paradigm” or say “this time is different,” and get-rich-quick screenshots keep piling up, it’s a sign that market attention is shifting from the project itself to its price.

At this point, check the charts—but don’t chase the rally. Compare the movements of $BTC, $ETH , and $BNB , and see whether liquidity in major coins is strengthening at the same time. If sentiment around altcoins is overheated but overall market capital isn’t expanding significantly, the risk is usually worth watching more closely.

3. Newcomers are entering more slowly than tokens are being released

The key tension in the latter half of a bubble isn’t whether the story can keep being told, but who will absorb the newly available tokens. When fundraising, exchange listings, unlocks, and profit-taking all increase at once, while fresh capital starts to slow, the narrative can quickly lose its force.

Once liquidity contracts, projects that seemed unrelated can all fall together, because they depend on the same pool of risk capital.

Before trading a new coin next time, check its circulating supply ratio, unlock schedule, and overall market liquidity before deciding whether to get involved. Don’t just fixate on screenshots of rising prices.
