According to CNBC, DBS Group Holdings Chief Executive Tan Su Shan said Singapore’s stability and predictability make it a haven for investors navigating global uncertainty. Speaking at the DBS Asia Future Forward conference in Singapore, she said the city-state’s open and orderly environment is “boring,” but added that “boring” is not a bad thing in a period of volatility. Tan said DBS has one of the safest credit ratings in the world and can help customers shift supply chains and move from one market to another quickly as trade, geopolitics and the Strait of Hormuz weigh on business decisions. She also said Temasek, which managed S$518 billion ($404 billion) in assets as of March 31, is DBS’s biggest shareholder. Tan separately said managers should hire for attitude when building teams for the age of artificial intelligence.
